So the big question is this. How do you design a business of your dreams? How, as an entrepreneur, do you grow a business that pays you what you’re worth without robbing you of your time, your relationships, and your health? That is the question and this podcast will give you the answers. My name is Jesse Razo, and welcome to the Biz Designer Podcast.    

 

So we’re going to be talking a little bit about what we got going on today. Going to be doing some studying, of course dedicating an hour a day to my craft, making sure that I continue that education process and incredibly important to me. Want to be the best and you got to practice your craft and continue to educate yourself every single day. Set aside an hour to do that. Got a really cool project that we’re doing right now with our non-profit fundraising model. Of course if you follow me and you’re aware of some of the work that we do, partnered with a wonderful lady on doing a fundraiser that I met when I sat on the board of directors a small non-profit in the Napa Valley. But it’s really turned into a lucrative fundraising, fundraising model. What we do is virtual events and come up with very exciting ways to engage people that aren’t already connected to the non-profit and then once we connect people to the non-profit, through some type of giveaway or a raffle, what we do is we work on nurturing that relationship and having them engage with their mission and vision. And it’s really cool work just because every moment spent, every time, every dollar made in that sector there’s already a worthy cause that you can attach it to. So, it’s important to that. We’re going to be coming up with a legion program and having some type of tripwire or a legion program, it’s incredibly important for business. If you’re going to be marketing yourself online and having a very low-cost of entry where you can provide some value and/or some type of offer to get people into your world and start that process. Of course, if you read some of the stuff out there that important part of that tripwire is that it’s a self-liquidating offer. Meaning that for every dollar spent, you at least make a dollar on the back-end. Break-even is what our goal is on that because that will give us the ability to spend and spend and spend on that legion and give us a really competitive advantage when we’re talking about other people who might be in your same niche, or maybe with some of your competitors. If you can spend more than them on marketing, then of course you’re going to win that battle. We’re going to be doing a giveaway today and setting up a travel giveaway where we’re going to be just doing a monthly giveaway to do legion on that. So I’m excited about getting that set up today but that’s not what I wanted to talk with you about today. Today I talked — or I was listening, doing some studying, it amazes me how many people who practice our craft on a daily basis are not committed to continual education. So this is what I wanted to talk with you about today. That piece of your business is probably one of the most important pieces if you want to stay relevant and competitive is just educating yourself. Taking a look at whether it’s through mentorship, plugging in to people’s content, and/or reading books from people that have achieved the level of success that you’re looking to achieve. We live in one of the probably best times in the world where we have the most opportunity to learn from people and accelerate our success through that process. We have more access. I’ve read an article that we have access to more information on a daily basis than most people in the 1800s had in their lifetime. And of course, if you’re reading the right information, you’re putting good words in your mind, and you’re continuing to educate yourself about what it is that you’re doing, becoming an expert in your industry and then also, continue and educate yourself about who it is that you want to be and really finding your voice. You’re going to have a tremendous amount of success over time because quite literally that percentage of individual in the business world that does that continual education every single day is a minute percentage. And I would assert that if you do do that every single day and you say hey you know what I’m going to set aside an hour, I’m going to study my craft, or I’m going to plug in to some people that might get my mindset in the correct space, it’s going to continue to perpetuate your success. So I would highly encourage that you do that. And hopefully this helps out. What we’re doing is trying to provide golden nuggets so that you can build the business and lifestyle of your dreams and hopefully it’s one that supports what it is that you want to create in your life. It gives you the ability to wake up and do whatever it is that you want to do today. There’s not a better feeling in the world than being able to wake up and be able to do exactly what it is that you want today.
